The Riviera Fiorita is the historical re-enactment that takes place each year on the second Sunday of September in memory of the meeting in 1574 between Henry III of France and the Doge of Venice Alvise I Mocenigo on the Brenta Riviera. Among the most beautiful events organized under the patronage of the Province of Venice and the Tourist Board is the Riviera Fiorita. It is a historical water pageant was born in 1977 on the initiative of a group of fans to the history and tradition of the Brenta Riviera.
The parade starts from the royal Villa Pisani in Stra at about 10.00 am, to arrive at Mira around 13.00, where, at the Villa Contarini (now also known as the Palace of the Lions), the traditional lunch takes place. In the afternoon, the parade of boats continues through Oriago and Malcontenta, and headed for Venice
